Introduction
A Letter from Randy Owen: To My Family and Fans, With All My Heart
To my dearest family, friends, and fans,
As I sit here tonight, guitar in hand and memories rushing through my mind, I feel compelled to share something straight from the heart. After so many years on the road, so many miles traveled, and so many songs sung — I’ve realized that none of it would have meant anything without all of you.
First, to my family — my rock, my reason, my constant. Through every late-night concert, every early morning flight, every celebration and hardship, you’ve stood beside me with love and patience. I’ve missed birthdays, holidays, and ordinary moments, and yet you’ve never stopped believing in me. For that, I’ll never stop being grateful.
To my bandmates, especially the late Jeff Cook — your laughter, your spirit, and your music live on in every note I sing. Teddy, we’ve walked a long road together, and I wouldn’t have made it without your brotherhood. We’ve lived a dream that few ever do, and I know we’ve still got more music left in us.
And to you — our fans. You’ve lifted us with your cheers, your letters, your prayers, and your unwavering loyalty. You were there at the start, buying our records, coming to county fairs, singing along with every word. Decades later, you still fill the seats and bring the same energy you did when we were just boys from Fort Payne.
It hasn’t always been easy. There’ve been days of doubt, loss, and personal struggle. But what’s kept me going is the love I feel every time I step on stage — that beautiful connection between music and soul, between artist and listener.
So this letter is my way of saying thank you. With all my heart. I don’t know how many years I’ve got left up there under the spotlight, but as long as I can sing, I’ll keep showing up — for you, and because of you.
With love and gratitude,
Randy Owen
