Jason and Brittany Aldean’s Son Memphis Rushed to ER After Collarbone Fracture

It’s every parent’s worst nightmare: a stressful night in the emergency room with their child. This became a recent reality for country music star Jason Aldean and his wife Brittany when their son, Memphis, had to be rushed to the hospital after an unfortunate accident, resulting in a fractured collarbone.

The news broke on Brittany Aldean’s Instagram stories, where she updated fans that they had a “rough Monday evening that ended at the ER,” with the rest of the week dedicated to Memphis’s recovery. Her first video showed a visibly dazed and tired Memphis in a hospital bed. Despite the circumstances, Brittany managed to caption the clip, “Still making us laugh even in the ER.”

A Dad’s Touch: Humor in a Scary Situation

In the video, Jason Aldean can be heard off-camera, trying to keep his 7-year-old son’s spirits up. He asked Memphis if he was feeling better, to which the little boy responded with a simple, “Kind of.” At this point, the full extent of the injury wasn’t yet clear, but Jason was already preparing his son for what might come next. “I hope it’s not broke, but I think maybe you’re probably going to have to have a little sling. I bet they’ll give you a little sling,” he reassured.

In a classic dad move, adding a touch of humor to a scary situation, Jason and another man off-camera started coaching Memphis on a wild story to tell his friends at school. They suggested he say he got the injury while wrestling alligators. Memphis, a smart kid, immediately shot down the idea, saying none of his friends would believe it. For a moment, though, he played along, admitting he could wrestle a bunch of alligators, “just not with that hurt arm.” This light-hearted exchange clearly showed the family’s resilience and their way of coping with the stressful event.

The Diagnosis and Road to Recovery

After the initial suspense, Brittany provided an update that gave concerned fans the answer. Sharing a closer photo of Memphis in his hospital bed, she confirmed the diagnosis: “Memphis is okay. He fractured his collarbone and will be in a sling for a couple of weeks. Just some rest and extra loving. He’ll be healed before we know it.”

While undoubtedly a frightening ordeal for the Aldean family, the good news is that Memphis is expected to make a full recovery. A fractured collarbone is a relatively common childhood injury that typically heals quickly. It’s clear he’s in loving hands with his family, and we wish him a speedy recovery.
