Kane Brown and Wife Katelyn Tease Emotional New Duet, “Even Death Won’t Do Us Apart”

Kane and Katelyn Brown are ready to tug at fans’ heartstrings once again.

The country power couple surprised fans on Wednesday night (Oct. 11) by sharing a snippet of a brand-new duet, “Even Death Won’t Do Us Apart.” The release came just one day before the Browns celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary, making the moment even more special.

Although the demo clip has since been deleted, it didn’t take long for fans to rally around the pair’s latest collaboration, calling it an instant hit.

Lyrics Celebrate Eternal Love

The preview included the opening verse and chorus, with Kane and Katelyn trading lines about a love that endures beyond this lifetime.

Kane begins:

“Long after that sun burns out that sky / Long after that ocean don’t turn the tide / One thing is true, I’ll be loving you.”

Katelyn answers with her own vow:

“One day when the mountains and the valleys align / I’ll still be yours and you’ll still be mine / One thing is true, I’ll be loving you.”

Together, they harmonize on the emotional chorus:

“A love like this will live on I know / So even on the day that he calls me home / No I won’t be far / Even death won’t do us apart…”

Fans Compare Them to Country’s Iconic Couples

Before the clip was taken down, the Instagram post racked up hundreds of comments. Many fans compared Kane and Katelyn to legendary country duos like Tim McGraw & Faith Hill and Garth Brooks & Trisha Yearwood.

“Next generations Tim & Faith… I’m here for it! Great job, guys! This sounds awesome,” one fan wrote. Another simply declared, “That’s a hit.”

Following the Success of “Thank God”

The new track follows the Browns’ wildly successful duet, “Thank God,” which became their first collaboration to hit No. 1 at country radio. Written by Josh Hoge, Jaxson Free, Kyle Fishman, Christian Davis, and Jared Mullins, the single also marked Kane’s ninth career chart-topper.

The couple brought “Thank God” to life with a romantic music video, which went on to win Video of the Year at the 2023 CMT Music Awards.

Katelyn, who had never released a single before “Thank God,” was overcome with emotion when she and Kane accepted the award.

“Oh my gosh. I am, first off, so nervous. This is all so new to me and when we recorded this song a year ago, I never in my life would ever think that this was ever gonna happen,” she told the audience. “But I just wanna say thank you so much to my amazing husband, I love you. This is so special that we get to share this together every night.”

What’s Next for the Browns?

While no release date for “Even Death Won’t Do Us Apart” has been confirmed, the overwhelming fan response suggests the couple may have another smash on their hands. With their undeniable chemistry and ability to balance heartfelt lyrics with mainstream appeal, Kane and Katelyn Brown are carving out a unique space as country music’s next great duo.
