Kane Brown Cancels Berlin Concert Due to Illness During Overseas Tour
Country superstar Kane Brown was forced to cancel his Drunk or Dreaming Tour stop in Berlin, Germany, on Sunday night (Jan. 29) after falling ill just hours before showtime.
In a heartfelt message shared on Instagram, Brown apologized to fans for the last-minute cancellation, explaining that he had been battling an illness for several days. “Hey Berlin — I’m so sorry to do this at such late notice but unfortunately we have to cancel tonight’s show,” he wrote. “I’ve been sick the past few days and have tried to power through.”
The decision came following medical advice from two doctors. “After seeing 2 doctors we had to make the difficult decision to cancel,” Brown added. “Refunds will be processed automatically from your original point of purchase.”
Despite the setback, Brown reassured fans that he plans to reschedule the Berlin date. “I hope to be back soon and make it up to y’all. I love you guys and am so sad I can’t play for you tonight,” he said.
On Twitter, the 29-year-old singer revealed just how tough the illness has been, admitting he’s been suffering from a 103-degree fever. “Man, when sickness brings you to tears like wtf,” he tweeted.
The illness has also left Brown feeling homesick. He shared a photo of himself with his wife Katelyn Brown, who is home in the U.S. caring for their two daughters. “I just wanna be home with you and the babies,” he wrote. Katelyn replied, “Wish we could be taking care of you, babe! Can’t wait for you to get back home.”
According to Brown’s official tour schedule, he is expected to perform next in Stockholm, Sweden, on Jan. 31 before returning to the U.S. His next major appearance will be at the Bud Light Super Bowl Music Fest in Phoenix, Arizona, on Feb. 11.
