Kane Brown on Taking the C2C Stage, New Music, and Family Life

Country music star Kane Brown returned to the UK to headline the renowned C2C festival. In a recent interview, he shared his excitement about the show, his career trajectory, and the latest news on his personal life.

From Small Stages to Headlining

Brown expressed his excitement about headlining the C2C festival, a milestone he’s particularly proud of since he hasn’t had to work his way up through the smaller stages. He believes his extensive experience from touring in the States has prepared him to perform for a new audience. “I feel like I’m way more experienced coming into a newer fan base,” he said. He’s looking forward to bringing a high-energy show to both longtime fans and new listeners who might be seeing him for the first time.

A Nod to Phil Collins and Future Collaborations

Brown’s tour, named “In the Air,” is a direct homage to Phil Collins’ hit song. He recalled being a new artist on tour with Jason Aldean and being captivated by the energy of the crowd when Aldean used the song as his walk-on music. This memory inspired his team to sample the song for one of his own tracks, creating a full-circle moment in his career.

He also confirmed that his friend and fellow artist Lauren Alaina will be joining him on stage at C2C to perform their hit duet, “What Ifs.” Brown revealed that the festival’s booking agents likely knew about their long-standing friendship, which dates back to middle school, and capitalized on it.

New Music and Baby News

The singer also shared some exciting news about his upcoming projects. He revealed that he’s currently working on a new album and that fans can expect a new single “very soon.” He also mentioned that he and his wife, Katelyn, have recorded more music together, following the tremendous success of their duet, “Thank God.”

In a heartwarming personal update, Brown confirmed that he and Katelyn are expecting their third child, a baby boy. While he’s “pumped” about having a son, he also admitted to being a little nervous, as he’s “never got to be a little boy dad yet.” He joked that he’s already offered to take on diaper duty, proving his confidence after years of practice with his two daughters.
