He noted that Experiment has a “sweetness” that his debut album may not have possessed, citing songs like “Homesick” and “Good as You” as examples of this softer side. While some might still consider his music “soft,” he emphasized that the album also contains “really rocking” songs, showcasing both sides of his artistic range. The marriage did offer a new wellspring of inspiration, leading to more romantic and heartfelt themes in his music.
