Kane Brown Talks Style, Sports, and New Music at the ESPYs
Country music star Kane Brown made an appearance at the ESPY Awards, where he discussed everything from his fashion choices to his latest musical project.
A Love for Sports and Players
Brown arrived at the event in a striking Dolce & Gabbana outfit. When asked about his sports fandom, he revealed he’s a huge fan but doesn’t have a single favorite team. “I just like players,” he said. He gave a special shout-out to Nashville’s Derrick Henry as he was walking in, a nod to his connection to the city. Brown also confessed to being an avid fantasy sports player.
A Different Kind of Song
The conversation shifted to his new song, “Memory,” a collaboration with Blackbear. Brown noted that the track is a departure from his usual sound, tackling heavy themes like depression and anxiety. He explained that he wrote his verse to let people know they aren’t alone in their struggles. “I’ve got so much great feedback from it,” he said, expressing his excitement about the song’s positive reception.
When asked how he handles feeling “tokenized” in the music industry, Brown offered a powerful message of resilience. “You just gotta keep pushing through… keep your head down and go to people that you can relate with,” he advised.
What’s Next for Kane Brown
Looking ahead, Brown has a busy schedule. He’s currently working on his next album and preparing for his upcoming tour, which will see him performing in all 29 NBA arenas starting in September.
