Kane Brown and his wife, Katelyn, delighted fans by releasing their first duet, “Thank God,” in September 2022. They took it a step further on Thursday, December 1, when they performed the song live together for the first time during a show in Ottawa, Canada.
Katelyn initially appeared a bit hesitant on stage, keeping her eyes on her husband, but when it was her turn to sing, she delivered her part effortlessly, belting out the lyrics. Kane watched with a big smile and encouraged her to walk the catwalk with him as the video concluded.
“My baby’s first time on stage singing our song together,” Kane shared on social media. “She killed it of course and I’m so proud of you!!!!” Katelyn responded, “Speechless. Thanks babe for making me as comfortable as possible and for everyone being so kind.” Fellow country artists like Walker Hayes and Chris Lane also praised her performance.
“Thank God,” released on September 12, is a heartfelt ode to their love story. While it’s their first duet, Katelyn had her own music career before meeting Kane, releasing songs like “Perfect” and “24KT.”
The couple has hinted at more musical collaborations. Kane recently stated that two more duets with Katelyn are planned for his upcoming album, The High Road, set for release in January 2025. One song is described as “way more country” and the other, reportedly titled “Body Talk,” is “blatantly pop,” allowing Katelyn to showcase her incredible voice. The overwhelmingly positive response to “Thank God” suggests that a Tim McGraw/Faith Hill-esque album and tour could be a possibility for the Browns in the future.
