Kane Brown Steps Back From Social Media After Backlash Over Charlie Kirk Tribute
Kane Brown’s reaction to the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk has sparked such controversy that the country star decided to leave social media. His wife, Katelyn Brown, responded by sharing a Bible verse on Instagram: “Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer” (Romans 12:12).
Kane’s original post, calling for unity, quickly drew backlash from both sides. In an emotional video, he admitted to “crying for two hours,” insisting, “All I want is everybody to love each other … left, right, Black, White, different country living—just love each other.”
The criticism turned personal, with one commenter accusing him of betraying his ancestors for sympathizing with Kirk. Kane pushed back, saying: “I’ve been called the N-word my whole life. I don’t want those people dead.”
After the escalating hostility, Kane announced: “This will be my last post for a while. Be safe guys and love one another.”
