Why Kane Brown's Wife Katelyn Is Sporting a Gnarly Bruise

Kane Brown’s Wife Katelyn Shares Health Update After Family Flu Battle

Katelyn Brown has returned to social media after a noticeable absence, explaining that she and her family have been sidelined by illness in recent weeks.

In a video posted to her Instagram Stories on Thursday (March 13), Katelyn revealed that the entire Brown household — including daughters Kingsley and Kodi, plus baby Krewe — had been battling the flu.

“I haven’t been on here much because the fam was hit with the flu and it has been so hard!” she admitted. “Luckily, we are finally getting better.”

Although she’s on the mend, the experience left a physical mark. Katelyn showed followers a large bruise on her forearm — purple, yellow, and green in color — which she said was caused by an IV administered while she was sick.

“IV gone wrong and my arm is looking real ugly lol,” she wrote alongside the clip.

Kane Brown Hit First — Just in Time for Tour

According to Katelyn, Kane was the first in the family to come down with the flu. Fortunately, his recovery lined up with the launch of his High Road Tour, which kicked off on Thursday night at Pechanga Arena in San Diego, Calif.

“Kane got it first so he is good to go thank god because tonight’s the first night of the High Road Tour,” she shared. “But the rest of us are slowly recovering! Stay healthy!”

The High Road Tour will keep Kane on the road for the next seven months, covering cities across the United States and Europe before wrapping up at London’s OVO Arena Wembley on October 10. The tour supports his High Road album, released in January.

While Kane hits the stage night after night, Katelyn and the kids will continue focusing on rest and recovery at home. And if her upbeat post is any indication, the family is already well on its way back to full strength.
