BREAKING: Rod Stewart Makes Emotional Confession Ahead of Glastonbury Set — “It’s Not Enough Time, But I’ll Give It My All”

In a heartfelt and candid update, music legend Sir Rod Stewart has opened up about the intense negotiations and emotional toll leading up to his long-awaited performance at Glastonbury Festival. The 80-year-old superstar, who will take the iconic “Legend Slot” on Sunday, June 29th, at Worthy Farm, revealed that his set will be tightly packed due to limited time on stage — and that not all of his fan-favorite hits will make the cut.

Rod, known for classics like Maggie May and Do Ya Think I’m Sexy, admitted he was originally given only 75 minutes to perform. But after pleading with Glastonbury organizers, he managed to squeeze in an extra 15 minutes, bringing his set to 90 minutes. “Usually, I go for over two hours,” he said. “There’s still a load of songs we won’t get to, but we’re working at it. It’ll be glamorous, it’ll be sexy… and I’m not talking about me — I’m talking about the band!”

Despite the excitement, Rod also expressed disappointment that he’ll have to cut back on his usual banter with the crowd. “I’m not going to make announcements between songs. I’ll sing one number, yell ‘next,’ and go straight into the next one,” he told the BBC. “I want to fit in as many songs as possible for the fans.”

The performance marks a historic moment for Rod Stewart, making him the first artist to have both headlined the Pyramid Stage — which he did in 2002 — and to take the treasured late-afternoon “Legend Slot.” He teased fans with a few surprises in store, including the possibility of a live orchestra and traditional bagpipes joining him on stage.

“It’s like playing in a cup final,” Rod said. “You try to treat it like any other gig… but it’s not. It’s special. I’m going to make it count.”
