Kane Brown Talks Elvis, Racing Simulators, Basketball Nights & His Wild Vasectomy Story
Country star Kane Brown stopped by for a fun and wide-ranging chat, covering everything from music collaborations to family life — and a hilariously awkward vasectomy story.
The conversation kicked off with a fan-favorite question about Kane’s duet with Elvis Presley on “Blue Christmas.” Kane shared how the idea came together after years of people asking him to record a holiday song. Since “Blue Christmas” was a tune he always warmed up with, it made perfect sense. Elvis’ team loved it so much, they added The King’s vocals to Kane’s recorded version, creating a virtual duet that Kane says left him completely starstruck.
Then things took a fun turn as Kane talked about his love for racing simulators. He explained how Red Bull gifted him a basic setup, but his buddy later hooked him up with a professional-grade simulator — complete with a Porsche seat, hydraulics, and a steering wheel with torque so strong it could literally break a finger if you weren’t careful!
The conversation also touched on Kane’s regular basketball games with friends in Nashville. Although his schedule keeps him busy on the road, he tries to make it out when he can. When asked if he’s the best player, Kane laughed it off, admitting age is catching up with him, though he can still hold his own.
Of course, one of the highlights was Kane sharing the hilarious way he found out his wife was pregnant with their third child. Mid-flight on his birthday, just as the plane took off, his wife Kate texted him, “I think I’m pregnant” — and the signal cut out. Kane spent the entire flight anxiously wondering what was going on. Turns out, she was right, and soon after, Kane went in for a vasectomy. He shared a vivid (and pretty funny) play-by-play of being half out of it on gas while the doctors chatted about their day — and a bizarre story about a patient with three testicles.
Wrapping up, Kane reflected on being named one of Time’s 100 Most Influential People, sharing how he hopes his career inspires others to be respectful, give back, and create music everyone can enjoy.
