Luke Bryan and Thomas Rhett Talk Possible Collaboration After Years of Friendship

Luke Bryan and Thomas Rhett have shared the stage countless times and built a friendship that extends well beyond music. From family vacations to surprise onstage appearances, the two country superstars have kept fans entertained with their camaraderie.

Still, despite their close relationship, an official duet between Bryan and Rhett hasn’t materialized—at least not yet.

In a recent interview with Taste of Country Nights, Bryan opened up about the possibility of working together on a future project.

“I’ve been buddies with Thomas for years, and he’s always sending me stuff,” Bryan revealed. “We’ve talked about cutting a song together a bunch of times. For me, it’s just about finding the right one that really feels like us. I mean, his sound and my sound—there’s overlap, but we’re different too.”

While fans shouldn’t expect a collaboration in the immediate future, Bryan admitted he’s eager to make it happen once the perfect track comes along.

“I think when the timing’s right, and the right song shows up, we’ll jump on it,” Bryan added with a grin. “It’s not a matter of if—it’s a matter of when.”

Over the years, both stars have notched major collaborations: Bryan has teamed up with Jason Derulo, Florida Georgia Line, and Dierks Bentley, while Rhett has recorded with Kelsea Ballerini, Jon Pardi, and Katy Perry.

Fans might not have to wait too long. Bryan is currently gearing up to release new music this fall, while Rhett recently teased that his next album could arrive sooner than expected. With both artists hard at work in the studio, a long-awaited duet could be closer than ever.
