Kane Brown Cancels Berlin Concert Due to Illness, Promises to Return

Kane Brown was forced to make the “difficult decision” to cancel his Sunday night (Jan. 29) concert in Berlin, Germany after falling ill.

Just hours before he was set to take the stage at Verti Music Hall, the “Like I Love Country Music” singer addressed fans directly on Instagram stories:

“Hey Berlin – I’m so sorry to do this at such late notice but unfortunately we have to cancel tonight’s show,” he wrote. “I’ve been sick the last few days and have tried to power through. After seeing 2 doctors we had to make the difficult decision to cancel.”

Brown confirmed that refunds would be automatically issued at the original point of purchase and assured fans he would make it up to them: “I hope to be back soon and make it up to y’all. I love you guys and am so sad I can’t play for you tonight.”

Later that evening, he took to Twitter to further describe the severity of his illness, writing: “Man when sickness brings you to tears like wtf 😭.”

Part of International Tour

The Berlin show was part of Brown’s Drunk or Dreaming Tour, which kicked off Sept. 17 in Melbourne, Australia. The run marked his first-ever performances in Australia and New Zealand, as well as a return to Canada and Europe. Special guests throughout the international leg included Restless Road, Jessie James Decker, Blanco Brown, and Chris Lane.

The tour is set to wrap its overseas dates on Jan. 31 in Stockholm, Sweden, before heading to the United States in March.

Upcoming U.S. Trek

Brown’s U.S. tour kicks off March 16 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and will hit 23 cities before closing June 10 in Greenwood Village, Colorado. Notably, he’ll headline Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena for the first time on March 31. Special guests include Dustin Lynch, Gabby Barrett, and LOCASH on select dates.

In Support of ‘Different Man’

The Drunk or Dreaming Tour supports Brown’s third studio album Different Man, which includes his hits “One Mississippi,” “Like I Love Country Music,” and “Thank God” (a duet with wife Katelyn Brown). The record also features his collaboration with Blake Shelton and fan-favorite singles like “Grand,” “Whiskey Sour,” and “Leave You Alone.”

In addition to the tour, Brown is slated for major festival appearances this year, including Stagecoach, the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, iHeartCountry Music Festival, and Gulf Coast Jam.
