Introduction:

Kane Brown CRIED When He Finally Made It Big in Music | DRIVE! | E! News Series

When Kane Brown isn’t topping country charts, you just might find him behind the wheel of one of his prized cars. The superstar recently joined host Austin J Mills in Nashville for an episode of *Drive*, where he gave fans a tour of his impressive collection before taking his Mustang GT500 for a spin — and opening up about life, music, and family along the way.

**A Car Collector at Heart**
Though he insists he’s “definitely not the biggest car collector in the South,” Brown’s lineup says otherwise. From a 2016 GTR with a Liberty Walk body kit to a 2007 WRX STI inspired by *Fast & Furious*, and a Cadillac CTSV pushing 1,200 horsepower, his garage is nothing short of a gearhead’s dream. But the crown jewel? His 2022 GT500, customized down to the wheels engraved with “KB.”

“I grew up not being able to afford any cars,” Brown shared. “Now it’s my hobby.”

**From Facebook Covers to Fame**
The ride-along wasn’t just about cars. Brown reflected on the moment his career began to change at age 20, when his Facebook covers suddenly went viral. “I remember going straight to my bathroom and crying,” he admitted. “I was like, this is it. I didn’t know to what scale, but I was super pumped.”

Though it took another year of persistence before record labels came calling, Brown says those early days — and the encouragement he received from strangers online — fueled his drive.

**Shaped by Strong Women**
Raised by his mother, aunt, and grandmother, Brown credits the women in his life for molding him into a “soft-hearted person.” He recalls nights spent watching *American Idol* with his mom, playfully critiquing each other’s singing. “That was like my bedtime story,” he laughed.

Now a proud girl dad himself, Brown sees a deeper purpose. “I feel like that’s why God gave me girls,” he said.

**What Fame Can’t Replace**
Even with his success, Brown admits there are parts of his old life he misses. “Just hanging out with my friends… living with my Nana,” he shared. He even holds fond memories of his first car, a 2002 Honda he bought while working at Costco. “It meant something to me. I had to really work for that.”

**A Different Man**
Discussing his album *Different Man*, Brown explained how much he has grown since launching his career at 21. “I got thrown to the wolves when I first started,” he said. “Now I know what I want as an artist, I know the music I want to make. I’m a completely different man now.”

**Love, Music, and Big Dreams**
Of course, the conversation turned to his much-talked-about duet with wife Katelyn. “She should’ve been on a song a long time ago,” Brown said, praising her vocal talent and revealing that fans had been asking for years. Their collaboration, *“Thank God,”* became one of the biggest hits of his career.

As for future collabs, Brown revealed he’s a huge fan of heavy rock bands like Slipknot and Korn, though he doesn’t see himself making that kind of music. Still, he has his sights set on a dream country collaboration: “Jason Aldean — I’ve been trying to get him on a song. Stop blowing me off, Jason!”

**Sports, Drive, and Dedication**
Asked what fuels his ambition, Brown credits his sports background. “Sports made me who I am. It makes you strive for something and not give up,” he explained. That same determination carries into his music career — and even his workouts.

For fans, the episode offered a perfect mix of horsepower and heart. Whether talking about his custom cars, his family, or his path to stardom, Kane Brown showed once again why his authenticity resonates as much as his music.
