Kane Brown Reveals He Almost Gave His Son a Very Different Name — Until Family Laughed at It 😂
Country superstar Kane Brown and his wife Katelyn recently welcomed their third child, a baby boy named Krewe Allen Brown — but according to Kane, that wasn’t the name they originally planned to use.
In a new interview with CMT, the “Miles on It” singer revealed that the couple had a completely different name picked out for their son… until their family stepped in.
“My go-to was Kasper with a K,” Brown shared with a grin. “I thought it was sick. My wife thought it was cool.”
But when the Browns called Katelyn’s family to share their choice, the reaction wasn’t quite what they expected.
“We called her family and they started laughing at us,” Kane admitted. “So we ended up having to change the name.”
The couple eventually landed on Krewe Allen, a name that fans and family alike have since fallen in love with. Baby Krewe was born on June 18, 2024, joining big sisters Kingsley Rose and Kodi Jane.
Becoming a Boy Dad
Already a proud girl dad to Kingsley (born October 2019) and Kodi (born December 2021), Brown says life with a baby boy has brought new excitement to their home.
“He’s adorable,” Kane gushed. “His cheeks are so puffy — I can’t stop kissing them.”
The singer also admits he’s thrilled to share some “boy” hobbies with his son as he grows up.
“I’m excited — I mean, I’m nervous because it’s three babies,” Brown told Taste of Country earlier this year. “But I’m really excited to have a son, just ’cause I have all this stuff — a basketball court, a racing simulator, a golf simulator.”
From the sound of it, baby Krewe is already surrounded by plenty of love — and laughter — in the Brown household. ❤️
