Introduction:
Kane Brown, Wife Katelyn Gain “New Perspective” On Duet That Inspired Holiday Movie
Kane Brown and his wife, Katelyn Brown, say they’ve gained a “new perspective” on their romantic duet after the fan-favorite song inspired a full-length Lifetime holiday film.
The couple served as executive producers on Thank God: Christmas at Keller Ranch, a new seasonal romance directed by Stefan Brogren. According to IMDb, the movie “follows a pro hockey player who finds romance with a grieving rancher” — a storyline built around the themes of love, healing, and devotion found in Kane and Katelyn’s celebrated duet, “Thank God.”
The Browns discussed the project during an appearance on TODAY on Monday (December 8), reflecting on the journey from writing and recording the song to seeing it transformed into a television film watched by millions.
Kane recalled that when he first heard “Thank God,” he knew immediately it was the perfect track for the couple’s first duet.

“We met through music, and we were looking for duets to do together,” he said. “I thought it was perfect for us.”
Katelyn added that the song was “undeniable” from the moment she heard it — a natural fit for their voices and their real-life love story.
Originally featured on Kane’s 2022 studio album Different Man, “Thank God” quickly became one of their most beloved collaborations. The track, which earned widespread acclaim and multiple awards, highlights the couple’s deep connection:
