Country superstar Kane Brown has built a career defined by determination, ambition, and a willingness to be himself. In a recent episode of *Drive*, Brown opened up about his impressive car collection, his rise to fame, and the experiences that shaped him into the artist and father he is today.
Brown’s passion for cars comes from humble beginnings. Growing up without enough money to buy the cars he wanted, he now considers collecting and customizing vehicles one of his favorite hobbies. His collection includes a 2016 Nissan GT-R with a Liberty Walk body kit, a modified 2007 Subaru WRX STI Limited Edition, and a 2016 Cadillac CTS-V equipped with a Kong supercharger. Many of his cars are capable of producing around 1,000 horsepower, although Brown keeps some tuned lower for reliability.
The centerpiece of the collection is his customized 2022 Ford Mustang GT500, finished in Twister Orange. Brown has upgraded everything from the wheels and tires to the engine bay, even adding his “KB” initials to the wheels and engine. He jokingly explained that while his large truck attracts plenty of attention, driving the GT500 is even more satisfying because hardly anyone wants to challenge it.
Brown’s journey to becoming a country superstar was far less predictable. At just 20 years old, he had already spent several years posting cover songs on Facebook. One day, his phone was overwhelmed with notifications as his following suddenly grew. Although that initial viral moment eventually faded, Brown continued creating content. A year later, his audience exploded into the millions, attracting the attention of record labels. At 21, he remembers going into his bathroom and crying because he realized his dream might finally become reality.
Despite his success, Brown remains grounded in his family and upbringing. Raised by his mother, grandmother, and aunt, he says the women in his life helped make him soft-hearted and deeply caring. He also misses simple moments from his past, including living with his grandmother and driving his old 2002 Honda.
Today, Brown sees himself as a “Different Man.” Fame has given him confidence and clarity about the artist he wants to become. He no longer worries as much about other people’s opinions and instead focuses on improving himself every year.
Whether he is performing on stage, pushing a powerful Mustang, or spending time with his family, Kane Brown continues to chase the same goal: becoming the best version of himself.
